Quilt for a Purpose!charity begins at home

Have you filled up your house with quilts, have you given many to family and friends? Do you want to make more just because it is such an enjoyable hobby? Why not make a homemade quilt for foundations? take some of those already made quilts or create some new quilts and donate them to a local charity.

There are Numerous Reasons to Donate

  • Donating makes us happier and others happy as well.
  • Donating helps to create aWorld we all thrive to live in.

    Homemade quilts can bring smiles

When we help others, we help ourselves

  • Donating helps young and old.
  • Donating makes sense.

I have been involved in many local charities for many years.  I can tell you that the quilts that I have donated have been received with open arms.  I am proud to know that I have helped in keeping an elderly person warm, and babies cozy in hospitals.

There are many charitable foundations that help to support those in need. They assist our homeless, Veterans, cancer patients, the elderly, teens, and babies. Check with your local Chamber of Commerce, They will be able to steer you in the right direction and advise you on where locally, you can make an impact by donating your quilt(s).

  1. Kay,
I agree with you thoughts about donation. The act of giving takes us away from the problems of our lives. We get to see people who are less fortunate than we are. We then realize that our problems are not so bad. The paradox of giving is that you alway get back more than you give. I do not make quits but I think I will go out and buy want and give it away to someone in need. Thanks for sharing.
